Your agent can now write and run code
Ask the agent to look into a repository, fix a bug, or try something out, and it works in a private sandbox of its own. You watch every step, and you stay in control of what it changes.
A sandbox for each chat
- The agent starts a fresh coding sandbox the first time a chat needs one, so your code never mixes with anyone else's
- It can clone a repository, read and edit files, and run commands such as tests and builds
- The sandbox pauses when nobody is using it and picks up where it left off when you come back to the chat
- Each sandbox is limited in time and size, and anything it needs from the outside is limited to what coding needs
- Nothing sensitive from GoTogether is stored inside it
- Starting a sandbox follows your role in the workspace. Owners, admins and members can by default
Watch it work
- Each step shows what it is doing: the files it read, the changes it made, and the commands it ran with their output
- Steps appear live while the agent works, and stay in the chat afterwards
- If a turn is cut short, the chat recovers instead of staying stuck on "working"
Ask first works here too
- With Ask first on, the agent checks with you before it runs a command or changes a file in the sandbox
- Allow runs it once, Allow for this session stops it asking again for the same kind of action, and Deny skips it
- Reading and looking around never ask
Connect GitHub
- Settings → Workspace → Integrations lets an owner or admin connect a GitHub account, personal or an organization
- Pick which repositories the agent can reach on GitHub. Access is read-only
- The agent uses it to clone your private repositories into the sandbox. Public repositories work without connecting anything
- Connect more than one account, and disconnect any of them at any time
- Only the owner of a GitHub account can connect it, and an account belongs to one workspace at a time
- Open an account to see which repositories it reaches, and use Manage on GitHub to add or remove repositories. The list is always read from GitHub
A tidier Settings
- Settings now has one menu of its own, with Back to app at the top. It takes you back to the page you came from
- Account has Profile, Preferences and Invites. Workspace has Workspace, Members and Integrations
- Profile and Workspace profile moved into Settings, and the old addresses still work
- The menu at the top of the sidebar is now just Settings, Workspaces and Log out
- Invite people is now a filled button at the bottom of the sidebar, so it is easier to find
Where to find it
- Ask the agent to work on code in Code, or in any agent chat
- Connect GitHub in Settings → Workspace → Integrations
